ReplyDeleteI remain one of the only people on earth who hasn't seen either of the Julie Andrews musicals. Neither May Poppins nor The Sound of Music. If that song is from either, I'm out of luck. HOWEVER, one of the stories that didn't make it into my book is the day I met Julie Andrews. It was that embarrassing. And calls for one of my sidebars.

My sons fake cry, too! I sing "why are you whining?" to them to the tune of "Oh my darling, Clementine." It works to make my older boy stop, but the younger one likes it and begs for it in his whiniest voice whenever he starts fake crying.
