Free Association Friday: Wendi Aarons

Welcome to the last FAF! I've had a ball collaborating with my awesome bloggy friends for this summer feature, but other projects (impending Kindergarten, amassing paper piles, latchhook Mr T. wall hanging) require my attention for the moment. Let's savor our last FAFfy moments together, as the fantastically funny Wendi Aarons free-associates...

Lilliputian – The little people from “Gulliver’s Travels” by Jonathan Swift. See? I read more than US Weekly and TMZ.com. (Okay, so I Googled it.)

George Papadopoulos – George Michael’s real name before he joined Wham!

Largess – Better than being the Smalless

Bromosexual – Someone who has sex with bromos? Like Spencer Pratt? Isn't he a bromo?

Comicon – Where to get hit on by an IT guy wearing a Chewbacca costume

Gauche – One of the rives in Paris

Ne-hi – A hell of a lot better than being Crotch-hi, know what I’m sayin’?

Pepa – With a deadly dash of Salt

Dress Shield – What a transvestite knight uses to protect himself in battle

Diamonique – OMG, how did you know my middle name?

She-Ra – A transvestite knight’s victory cry after he’s defeated the enemy with his fabulous dress shield

Vichyssoise – From Campbell’s new “Russian D-Lights” line of soups. Also try "Gorbachev Gumbo."

Logorrhea – Isn’t she the Hispanic Desperate Housewife?

Fry Sauce – Little known diet tip: putting cream sauce on fries negates the calories and actually causes weight loss. But don’t tell anyone. I don't want my secret to get out.

Chef Tell – The lady at table number 5 that she can’t have any more wine and to stop fondling the wait staff's packages.

FrancoAmerican – I think I used to date his brother JimboGuatemalan in college.

American Spirit – Catch it!

Thank you Wendi! I'm gonna Chef Tell-it-on-the-mountain next time there's a fly in my soup. Thanks to all my loyal FAF readers. I had hopes to free-associate with many more of you (Jessica BernThis, Comedy Goddess, Joanna Jenkins, Lizspin, Beth too many to name and this linkage has taken me 30 minutes already) so please go forth and git FAFfy . You have my blessing. May the FAF be with you. (and no, I'm not quitting the blog, just the FAF).

  8. Thanks for all of the wonderful comments; this was so much fun.

Also, Ann forgot to mention how I groveled and whined and bribed her with $15.10 cash until she finally gave me my own FAF. So, thanks Ann!

I would like to lodge a formal complaint against the "Vichyssoise" interpretation.

  23. Good stuff. I'm still stuck on George - the Friends episode when they watched him from the balcony. I can associate most anything with an episode from Friends.
